The work powers the world—not the other way around.

The true story

One parent. Two kids. One summer spent refusing to accept “good enough.”

I built this for my own rising 5th and 9th graders, then ran it with them all summer. We iterated daily through roughly 450 versions. Now I’m opening it to families who want the same thing: serious study that respects a capable learner.

The daily loop

Less ceremony.
More progress.

A clear start, a focused session, and a reason to come back tomorrow.

  1. 01

    Find the right floor

A quick placement checks what your child can actually do—not what grade label they carry.

  2. 02

    Work at the edge

Daily sessions adapt upward as skill grows. Success earns harder work, not easier praise.

  3. 03

    Fund the town

Study earns money. Your child uses it to hire, stock, price, and run businesses that have real costs.

What we believe

Respect looks like rigor.

01

We do not confuse explanation with hand-holding.

A concise concept. One tight worked example. Then a question that requires thought. No dot-array crutches. No ten-screen tutorials between the learner and the work.

02

The system should adapt up, not surrender down.

Every item has three levels. When a child succeeds, the floor rises. Distractors are written to catch shallow reasoning—because careful thinking is the skill.

03

Wrong answer keys are build failures.

Automated correctness gates recompute answer keys before a question ships. Verification is infrastructure, not a promise pasted onto a sales page.

The town

The reward has
a balance sheet.

Kids do not collect meaningless gems. They run businesses. Staff have wages. Supplies cost money. Bills are itemized. A profit-and-loss statement tells the truth.

  • Hire staff and pay wages
  • Buy inventory and supplies
  • Read revenue, costs, and profit

Straight answers

Before you join.

What exists, what is planned, and what we are still proving.

What grades is this for?

It is being built for independent learners from upper elementary through early high school. Placement is based on demonstrated skill rather than a grade label.

What subjects are included?

Math is the focus for the paid beta. We would rather make one subject rigorous and reliable than announce a broad catalog before it exists.

How much screen time does it require?

The design is for focused daily sessions, not endless play. Parents will be able to see minutes studied and decide what rhythm works for their family.

How is this different from Khan Academy or IXL?

It is not trying to imitate either. The teaching is deliberately concise, the questions adapt upward, and completed study funds a realistic business town. The parent view ties it together with weekly evidence.

When does it launch?

There is no public launch date yet. The paid beta is planned after the account, data, and billing foundations are ready. Waitlist families will get placement invites before launch.

What will it cost?

The early-bird plan is $19 per month for the whole family, with a 14-day free trial at launch. We are validating that price now and will confirm it before asking anyone to pay.
